One by one, over the course of many months, a woman's entire street family went to the rehabs, including her street mom. She hasn't heard from them since.

The victim transporters told one mom — whose youngest child is 18 months old — she should bring all of her children with her to rehab.

One woman was walking along a busy street around 7 pm, when a victim transporter stopped to talk to her. Again. After she had already told them no several times.

They worry about the people who went with the victim transporters. About the lies they are being told and about being in a strange place so far from home.

Victim transporters asked a woman who got into their van if her friends were Native. This was likely to determine her "value." If she said yes, it would mean that once at the rehab, she would have Native friends she could be "induced" to call. If she successfully convinced her friends to come to the rehab, that would mean money for the victim transporter.

Charles, 28, didn't get into the van. But he can't stop thinking about "little homie" — an unknown 18-year-old boy — who did get in.

This woman is one of many who said the victim transporters kept up a campaign of harassment, never taking "no" for an answer. This would go on for weeks, with the transporters repeatedly tracking down a victim — especially if she was a woman.
